President Barack Obama Retakes the Oath from Chief Justice John Roberts

On Wednesday evening, President Barack Obama and Chief Justice John Roberts did a "redo" on the oath of office after some mistakes on the day of inauguration.

It appears that while Obama technically became President of the United States at 12:00 noon on January 20th, executing his duties could lead to possible questions without the proper oath.

Television cameras were not allowed for the small ceremony, which has led to complaints by various television news networks.

Given the speculation around Barack's Birth Certificate's, this secrecy was either a large mistake or very, very deliberate which will simply feed the frenzy and suspicion surrounding him.

So much for transparency.

Why the need for the "do-over"? If they insisted on doing this, it should have been available for all to see, even if just from some wireless internet connection or what have you. Personally, I don't think anyone had suspicions about the first one, but now doubt has sparked....

You people and Openline really need to grow up. Why is this even worth mentioning? Who cares and so what.

I wish Openline would get a clue and leave President Obama alone. Bottom line HE is our president and had been since 12pm on Tuesday and no one can stop that. O-BAMA!

To correct mot of you!

He was not actually sworn in the first time until 12:06 due to the ceremony starting late.

The need for a second swearing in was needed as it was not properly performed the first time in accordance with the law. However, as to not make a big deal they moved forward as is for the better.

The second being held in private was to save face in case either of the 2 messed it up again.

For better or worse Obama is now the President. Weather we find out the complete details of his citizenship or not the world may never know.

And to defend OLB, all the other media is covering this so why not OLB?

He re-took the oath of office so he could have his hand on the Koran..and not the Bible...

SO where was the bible?

LOL.

They didn't really even have to do it over. There have been Presidents that haven't repeated any of the verbage, and have just responded with "I do".

And the only "frenzy" that exists is the one on a couple of talk radio shows on 890 AM. It's really quite entertaining to listen to them sputter.

The oath of office may be meaningless to many people. However, it is very important to the "United States".

First the oath must be administered and secondly it must be administered correctly. Why? Because in order for the acts of the president or any public office holder for that matter to be considered legally conducted.

This issue has come up before and it is valid. The attorneys that counseled the "redo" were absolutely correct.

The "United States" runs on form as much as it does on substance. In fact, sometimes I think that form is the larger part of that equation but like it or not the oath had to be administered again.

Hows this for transparency...reporters can no longer take pictures of the Messiah but must instead rely on official pictures handed out by his staff. Nancy Palooza is going to silence conservative radio programs. Next, they will through your wonderful public education system, dictate what you can or cannot read. They will encourage you to read the Koran, while forbidding you to read the Bible. Sounds like the Chinese or Russians to me.

None of 12:03's comment is true.

Well, at least now we all know for sure that this blog has transitioned completely into the realm of "entertainment". There is nothing more to be gained here these days than a good laugh, which is sad, because there have been some excellent discussions and arguments that have taken place. But that is pretty much all in the past. The comments about President Obama are hilarious. Don't like his politics or policies? Fine. But the psychotic rantings that some postings exhibit are beyond the pale. Fortunately, there are only a small number of them, as evidenced by the number of comments on this site...

And 4:28 pm? I CAN presume to speak for you, as it's pretty clear what you are.
