And the Republicans have to re-brand and find a way to get more than 40% of the vote. They need to stop worrying about just one or two topics and find an overall message that will resonate with a larger number of people. Roe v. Wade will never be overturned, and the writing is on the wall with regards to gay marriage. They need to move on. Fewer and fewer people are socially conservative. I think the real way for them to succeed is a return to fiscal conservatism, and stick to that message and plan of action.
Thanks to Cheney (along with the Bush mafia), America is truly declining into a third world country. Makes me laugh - they have systematically paid themselves billions of dollars via their companies that service military & other gov't contracts (news which is tightly censored out of America media but available elsewhere). Good luck to America - China & India are on the rise. The only difference between the powers is 'who has more military strength' and if that's the only reason America continues to yield its power, then we're all in trouble...

Look to his policies and the effects they have on this nation and the people that pay the bills. Namely, the tax payers, specifically the middle class tax payers.

I don't give a care what party, color or gender they are I want every dirty, corrupt politician out of office. I think it is a hoot. BHO is going to give us national healthcare and Medicare and Social Security are both going broke. There is not one national program that the government has taken over that has stayed solvent and not resulted in billions of tax dollars in greedy, corrupt hands and lots of red tape.

If waterboarding is not torture, then why not use it against Americans when we want information.
Globetrotter, China and India are on the rise, but they are also going to have their own growing pains and find that managing large populations that become more dependent on material things and resources may be more difficult with time. China and India both need the U.S. market, too.

4:41pm: Yes, every country will have its growing pains. And because globalization is at unprecedented levels thanks to technology & travel options, US has to ensure their house is in good order. But then how can it be when all your politicians are bashing each other up (and so publicly as seen by the title of this post - Dick pows Powell), funding & supporting dodgy & 'rogue' countries/politicians, and continuing to supply arms where a small elite group only benefit.
At some point, China is going to jump in to ensure more balance of 'say' in the way things are running.
