Former Bolingbrook police officer Drew Peterson was arrested Thursday after a grand jury indictment on the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, who died in 2004.

With national media attention on this local story ever since his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, went missing on October 28, 2007, the investigation into Savio was pursued again after initially being ruled an accidental drowning in a bathtub.

Some say that while Drew Peterson may have been convicted long ago in the court of public opinion, there is limited evidence and that hearsay testimony between Stacy Peterson and a pastor may be used to prosecute Drew Peterson and could be a challenge.

"We are very confident in our case" said James Glasgow, Will County State's Attorney.

One of Peterson's attorneys said "Although he is disappointed with the decision of the state, he looks forward to the opportunity to once and for all prove his innocence in a court of law."

As part of the bizarre saga surrounding Peterson, aside from children from his previous marriages, another woman, Christina Raines, and her children, were recently living with him.

Drew Peterson is being held on a $20 million bond.

It's about time that they got that cocky S. O. B. on something. He thinks he so smart and above the law--because he used to be the law. Can you imagine the things he did and got away with while he was on duty. Shakedowns or whatever!
Stacy will have some justice through Kathleen.
YES!

I'm not impressed with Glaskow as a lawyer. He will never get heresay introduced as evidence in the case. The Defense has no chance to cross-examine the witness(deceased). Autoposies 30 years after an alleged crime don't hold water to the original autoposy. The case is weak at best.

The second autopsy was performed three years later, not 30. It was also performed by a renowned forensic pathologist, not the local medical examiner doing his police officer buddy a favor.

Who are you people? Already got the guy convicted and sentenced before the trial. What if it was you and society already had you on death row before any trial and you know you are innocent? Huh? huh? huh?
You Dumb Bastards!

This blog is just done because there is nothing to kiss Weisner or Lawrence's ass about. Boo Hoo -- why not write a story about how every event is now being held at Bally Doyle -- hey there, how about the other businesses in town?? Oh wait, they're not sucking up to Weisner and kissing his prized ring.

Given our court system always sticks it to the guy, how do we know this was not justifiable - she may have been a real bitch.

You people only base your decisions on what you hear from the media. Is the media gospel? Are they actual eyewitnesses? Were they there? It's no wonder people have trouble getting a fair trial. Society has the accused guilty before the trial even begins. How many innocent people have been falsely imprisoned? Lots.

Drew was arrested because you people feel guilty, that you sentenced Nicole Abu-Sharif, you people realized she was bad and you all talk like your perfect angels, talking all that crap, but then you realized you people were worse then her, a million times and then some, because you feel guilty, and you are guilty. All of you will be judged accordingly, and be the servents to those you scared and scar, and sinned upon, you will be at the mercy of heaven, as you cry for forgiveness.
