I just read an excellent response to this by the father of one of the Columbine Students whose daughter was killed. He spoke to the stupid logic that we need to get rid of the NRA and impose more gun control to stop violence in this country. He said that is not and never will be the answer as long as the morals, spirituality and degrading of human life is promoted in this nation. He talked about his son at Columbine hiding under a table, watching his friends being shot and praying to God to spare his life (which he did), while at the same time in this nation it is illegal to have students pray in the schools. We glorify atheism and immorality in the schools and have taken God out of every area of education and when we reap violence and hatred we don't understand what went wrong. It's not gun control we need, we need to bring back moral standards of our Judeo-Christian heritage and parents to teach right and wrong. You cannot have right or wrong without moral standards.

Having said that, it is his administration that has a deficit 400% larger than the last Bush budget which was the largest in history up to that point. So now who has the largest deficit in history? Barack Obama.
And he is now telling us that we are mortgaging our children’s future. He has mortgaged that future more than anyone in history. Where was the Obama that said, “We all have to learn to live within our means” before he ramped up government and enlarged the deficit by a factor of four?
Deficit reduction would have been easier by not increasing the deficit in the first place. Too late for that.

Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
