No East will always be the best. We don't have crappy kids we have good kids. Like many districts their are kids that don't do well but West is getting them too. The West side has bad kids too and you will see that more as time goes by because this city is a sanctuary city and it will spill over to the West side. It isn't all about football it is our pride in what we do.

Are you kidding about Michael Jackson he killed himself. What does this have to do with the East, West game?

East is East and West is West, and in Aurora, KIDS ARE BEST.

How about a game of soccer West?

East Aurora should simply dump their football program. In fact, East should dump all athletics until the students improve their academic performance.

Sadly, I don't think that will ever happen. East Aurora (and district 131 for that matter) is simply a lost cause for a number of reasons.

I see improvement in the district. The are small steps but at least it is a step forward.

One of the big problems are some of the ELL students and their families who refuse to really learn English and that some don't really care about education. The district can only do so much about that but they are trying.

Until this city and state stop enabling the Spanish to not learn our language that will be a hurdle for the East side.

The vast majority of Mexicans in Aurora simply refuse to assimilate.

Throw them out!

The kids on the East side have always been hardworking and have a great attitude, for the most part.

It's the administration that's dragged the district down. They're famous for being all about their own image, and making decisions against kids' best interests (remember the band director's "reassignment" a few years ago? The EHS band sounds terrible now, thanks to Gonzalez, Harmon, and their cronies).

But there is hope. New leadership on the School Board was a step in the right direction, and I'm optimistic that things can & will get better, little by little.

Everybody please send your thoughts and prayers to an East high alumnus who was stabbed last night. Class of '89 football star Louie Hernandez reportedly just got out of surgery after being stabbed an inch from his heart! This was after the EAHS class of 1989 reunion. Some big galute from Indiana is said to be the offender. Louie, I hope and pray you get well soon!!

My prayers are with Louie and I certainy hope the person who did this is caught and that justice prevails.
