It was also released that Oprah, the queen of talk, will shut down Michigan Avenue for a day next week so she can have a party, causing massive disruption to traffic and downtown Chicago.
"This is a great thing we're doing. I wish we could do this everyday in Chicago," said Daley.
And, if that weren't enough, Chicago has been named America's Most Stressful City for the second year in a row by Forbes.
Overcrowding, declining home prices, massive commutes, dysfunctional transit systems, high unemployment, poor air quality and high taxes all contribute to the stress (anyone NOT been stuck in a traffic jam on the Eisenhower lately?).
The survey didn't take into consideration Mayor Daley's tantrums, widespread corruption investigations and indictments for his regime, the city's worst financial situation in 50 years, flip-flops on the Olympic bid or the parking meter fiasco, but even without those stress factors, Chicago is second to none.

DO you hopey changey voters know you are still paying a "World Fair Tax" that was to have occured in the 80s? The fair never happened and the tax never ended but was extended as a Hotel/convention tax. Thats why you pay so much for a hotel room in the city. Honest politicians all. Vote them ALL out next election.
