DoNotLetBillFosterKillJobs.com

Billboards have targeted Rep. Bill Foster with a website called DoNotLetBillFosterKillJobs.com.

The site is intended to address Foster's position on the Employee Free Choice Act, but perhaps more significantly, it has some high-powered people behind it.

Ron Gidwitz, former candidate for Governor of Illinois, says the Economic Freedom Alliance, paid for the ads. The group includes consultants such as former Bush strategist, Karl Rove, to former Congressman and Speaker of the House, Denny Hastert.

Power to the workers.

AS much as Foster needs to go, it is a shame there are no good choices on the Republican slate.

Anonymous said...

Could it be that their are no good Republicans with leadership skills?

Republicans will rise again. We own the wealth.

The Beacon maybe out of business soon

Everyone should contact the Herald about bringing them to town. I would subscribe if they could deliver.

Anonymous said...

Why would anyone subscribe to biased print media? They have proven time and again they are not to be trusted without slanting the news.

Let's all watch "fair and balanced."

Yeah, all you need is this blog! Of course, it gets all its news from the Beacon and the Daily Herald...

Isn't Google somehow affiliated with this website? How does one go about shuting down this website?

Anonymous said...

We don't need Foster killing jobs with this bill and we also don't need another Hastert continuing a political dynasty. His old man was bad enough causing food prices to rise unnecessarly with his ethenol bs. And we certainly don't need Kirk who voted to raise all your taxes by voting to help out his friends at the merc by voting for the tax and cap bill. So lets get busy and get some people with real guts that really care about America and not their pocketbooks.

How many would be in favor seeing this website get shutdown?

Anonymous said...

The blog is fine, its the bloggers that should be jailed for threats.

The topics are slanted but I can handle that, its the degenerates that are hard to take.

Anonymous said...

So isn't it the slanted topics, threats and degenerates the reasons why this website should be shutdown?

p.s. And what does it say about the people who run this site that allows filth to be said and they won't remove it?

Labor (the people who work for a living) are in favor of this act.

Management (corporate greedy ceo's) are opposed.

Guess who should be believed.

Help me out here:

So in this scheme of things where do supervisors, mid tier and upper tier management sit, as opposed to the CEO or even the head of division? Are they people who work for living or greedy?

Where do you draw the line exactly?

Curious...

Management is not unionized. They are not the decision makers and are not effected.

Management carries the water.

10:45, the question is do the fore mentioned managers work for living or are they greedy?

Say I own a company that all it does is takes screw 'a' and puts it into hole 'b'. The job pays 'x'. Somebody says i can do that for '1/2 x'. I hire them.

Seems pretty simple to me.

Anonymous said...

That works in Mexico. Here we have labor laws and minimum wages.

America is different. We care about people.

2:28 - what if the person who says they will do it for 1/2 can only live here by going on public aid, using the emergency room for medical care, receives food stamps etc...is it then right for you to hire them, foisting the true cost of your labor on everyone else who is forced to subsidize your wages?

Anonymous said...

The point is that there is a value to the work performed.

Labor laws are created to artificailly escalate prices so a select few can earn more than the true value of those services performed.

Get a second job. Get a education. Get rid of all the freebie's

Bush farted in the Oval Office and Obama is still trying to air it out.

What a friggin mess he inherited.

To 10:17,

Of course they go to the emergency room, use food stamps, get public aid, etc. That's my point.

Do you not see the connection between the above and not making a living wage.

The American Dream does not include having to sleep three in a bed and eating beans and rice three times a day.

What happened to your heart?
