Illinois Mathematics & Science Academy (IMSA) Wins 2009 Intel Schools of Distinction "Star Innovator" Award


Technology giant Intel has named the Illinois Mathematics & Science Academy (IMSA) in Aurora, Illinois as the "Star Innovator" among six winners of the 2009 Intel Schools of Distinction Awards. IMSA was chosen among hundreds of applicants who entered the competition.

As the top winner, IMSA will receive a package with a value of $277,500, including $27,500 in cash and $250,000 in curriculum materials, professional development resources, hardware, software, prizes and services from sponsors.

IMSA, an agency of the State of Illinois, is a public residential preparatory institution for academically talented students and laboratory for teaching to advance mathematics and science. It is located at Sullivan & Randall Roads in the northwest area of Aurora.
