Illinois Parental Notification Law in Limbo?

***UPDATED 11/04/09 4:12pm

The Illinois Medical Disciplinary Board said Wednesday morning the State of Illinois should proceed with enforcing the parental notification law voting against a motion to extend a grace period to delay enforcement.

This afternoon, the ACLU was in court attempting to block the law saying it's unconstitutional, even though the law is valid in various other states.

***UPDATED 11/04/09 4:25pm

Cook County Judge Daniel A. Riley granted a temporary restraining order to block the enforcement of the state's parental notification law.

Another hold on parental notification. Wonder why? Wonder if it has anything to do with all the promises made to Planned Parenthood by a certain ex-Senator at their convention in a big speech he gave to them? Wonder if it has anything to do with all the money contributed to a certain ex-Senator's campaign coifers because he promised them that "we will not turn back" and that abortion-on-demand will remain the law of the land? Hmmm. Just wondering.
