Marie Wilkinson

101 year old Marie Wilkinson of Aurora recently passed away.  We encourage those who wish to discuss her life to use this open thread, but we also are interested to hear from our viewers if bias and discrimination has truly changed in Aurora or is it alive and well.

I think if you read ANY of the other threads on here, you'll know discrimination is alive and well in Aurora.

I met Mrs. Wilkinson once and was impressed by her humility, friendliness and compassion for others especially young people. I think she was a wonderful self-sacrificing lady who lived the life of a true Christian. Her faith was very important to her and she proved it. May she rest in peace. (No ignorant comments please.)

Yes may she rest in peace for what she has done and she did it the right way.

Judging from the number of comments here it looks like most of the love and admiration faded as quickly as Marie. All those phoney politicians, civic association memebers, church memebers where are you now? Where are all the loving coments by the black associations? ALl the coments by the Hessed House groups? If all that BS you spread when she was alive were true there wouldn't be enough room in the blog for them.

"Where are all the loving coments by the black associations?"

They looked at all the racist comments in the Obama threads and decided not to post, I expect.

I am not sure she did all the things she was given credit for. Typical black. So who is the new Afro American leader in Aurora
