Aurora's Party Girl Alderman Stephanie Kifowit and So-Called Corporation Counsel Alayne Weingartz Join to Violate Your Constitutional Rights and Freedom

Realtors who plant American flags on July 4th would be prohibited
in Aurora under a proposed ordinance unless they got gov't permission.

It's bad enough Aurora's Party Girl 3rd Ward Alderman Stephanie Kifowit spends more time on parties and politicians with her new priority of promoting sexual discrimination in government.

And, we already know Aurora's so-called corporation counsel Alayne Weingartz's long track record of incredibly foolish mistakes, but now the two most incompetent people in the City of Aurora receiving paychecks from your taxdollars have joined together on an assault of the constitution, freedom, media, newspapers, children and even the American flag itself.

On Tuesday, another public hearing was held on the Kifowit-Weingartz ordinance to give government powers over speech, media and anyone who dares to express themselves with a flier or document.  Not just newspapers or advertisers, but a church telling people about a bake sale or students telling people about a neighborhood car wash or a child who dares to market a lemonade stand.

Kifowit-Weingartz's proposed micromanagement of your constitutional rights even means realtors who put flags out on July 4th with their business card would have to get "permission" 30 days in advance from the so-called law department.

What would be a valid reason to deny anyone?  Why does Kifowit or Weingartz need to know who is doing what on private property?  Why should the Chicago Tribune or anyone with something to say have to go through and get permission in advance?

The ordinance has already caused an uproar to many groups and individuals who see it as infringement on basic constitutional rights.  The excuse by Kifowit-Weingartz is they want to address the "litter" problem that happens when unsolicited material is delivered at private properties.

Alderman Rick Lawrence, who strongly opposes the frivolous ordinance, says the city already has steps to take to address litter and nuisance problems on a case-by-case basis.  In Aurora's 4th Ward, these problems are addressed quickly.

However, as many 3rd residents point out, it's a different story there.  Because their alderman (Kifowit) is AWOL and too busy with parties and politicians, they don't address these issues in a timely manner.

We say the solution is to propose a new alderman, not a new ordinance for the residents of the wards that are experiencing problems like this.

If Stephanie Kifowit and Alayne Weingartz are truly interested in getting rid of litter, they should start by resigning and not wasting our taxdollars on frivolous ordinances that are guaranteed to land the City of Aurora in federal court.

The AFL-CIO is planning on sending out 5000 top union bosses and spending tens of millions of their members uinion dues in the next couple of weeks before the election. THis is all done to "protect" the libral democrats who went along with OBAMA's plan to wreck the backbone of the country. All you hard working union saps should be aware of where your dollars are really being spent.

If Lawrence "addressed" the situation in his ward, he should have "addressed" it for the city as a whole.
He also needs to grow up and quit bashing Kifowit...is he that intimidated?
She is not the only Alderman having a problem and trying to correct it..as a whole...for the city...not just for 1 ward.

Aren't both of them child murdering sluts?

I do Know that there is already a law or ordinance that prohibits signs ( like garage sales or for sale lost cats advertisement etc...) in the city right-of ways.. street to sidewalk or property-line

You are right about that law, but the City does not enforce it nor the alderperson of the wards. The City employees job who is to enforce it does not do it. The signs and such in the right-of-ways and such are very visable to the eye and the person's whose job it is would have an easy time enforcing this law.

actually the get taken down but it would take 2 to 3 days to clear the whole city. Also the employees have other duty's that would pull them away being already short on man power!

Right, they have other duties...like sitting around in their trucks for hours..not doing anything. Parking and chatting with each other. Just driving around aimlessly. They see a sign..stop and take it down. City inspector rely on the "public" to do their job by calling in complaints..then they still don't do anything.
You see so many obvious things wrong..see a city truck go by...go by being the operative words. I think that anyone in a city truck that see's a violation should stop and take care of it...not use the "it's not my job" attitude.

Openline, you are so full of crap. First, of course, the Robin Williams thing has nothing at all to do w/ this. And the people speaking out against this are people who think their freedom of speech overrides MY right to control my own property. They want the right to force themselves on me. This proposed ordinance may not be what the groups want, but it IS what the people want. We're tired of the litter and trash being left on our property that WE have to pick up. We have a No Solictors sign up, and it does no good whatsoever. The La Hoya people come along and throw their advertising out of their car on the ground (showing THEY think it's litter, too). We need an ordinance w/ teeth.

So, until this ordinance is passed, and if it never is for the rest of the years I live in Aurora, I'm going to gather up every one of these pieces of litter and collect them. Then when I have a big bunch, I'm going to deliver them all to Scheidler's front lawn. And on Sunday mornings I'll go thru the parking lot of the church that spoke against the ordinance tucking things under windshield wipers. And I'll share the litter wealth with the businesses that spoke against the ordinance. After all, all these people & groups said at the hearing that free speech rights outweigh property owners' rights. And my redistributing these materials is MY free speech. And I urge everyone to join me.

And let's not forget Rick Lawrence. I'm sure he'd feel left out if he didn't get his share.

Good idea. Also, putting up yard signs is a form of free speech, right? So, if Eric Scheidler really believes in free speech, and that that right is more important than property rights, we can all put yard signs supporting Planned Parenthood in his yard! Awesome.

The Alderman need to stand up for the taxpayers not silly issue like this. With the city 18 million in debt I heard Bea Torres became Chief of staff. How many chiefs does this mayor have. Who does we think is Mayor Daily. This crook needs to go. Why do the alderman not stand up against him.

Uh the Alderman should stand up for free speech. This town is getting despotic with the city telling people where the can smoke, who they can rent to, what businesses they can open, etc all. My guess is the city will get the hell sued out of by Lee Fry and the ACLU over profiling for resident tenants. There are better ways to handle the landlords, you can simply charge them for services used as many communities do, rather than this ridiculous inspection process (ripe for kick-backs) and tenant screening. The landlord can than make the choice, screen carefully or face a huge potential bill for guessing wrong.

Shut up and get your criminal backgrounds checks completed for each and every tenant. Cut the patriotic complaining or, if you abhor governmental regulation so much, go and live in the Sumatran frontier.

You'd think the City was asking for the forfeiture of your entire life savings by demanding a $45 background check. Landlords are always complaining about something whether it's inspection repairs, license fees, broken driveways, your tenant screw up's, having to buy garbage cans, etc.

It's a tough world out there, baby ducks. It always was and always will be so get used to it.

But please, quit quit the royal ass pain whining. You've been at it since well before licensing began. Stop calling the aldercreatures and the Mayor every time you stub your toe.

Grow up and deal with it.

Yeah. Just relax and lay back and let the liberal faction who never did like to work for anything that the government could give them rule you. Let the evil government run roughshod over you and fine you and take your property. After all its the lazy non producers and the communist democratic party that continues to drive this country to oblivion with their libral policies. You are just expected to yield while the lazy crooks take over.

No you shut up you anti-American ass wipe. Really, this is suppose to be a free country and you should be able to go about your business without the city demanding to see your papers. If the landlord wants to rent to whomever that is his business. The city can simply charge him for services consumed. Why don't you go life in a commie country you fascist pig.
