Can Bill Brady Change Illinois Like Chris Christie Has Been Doing in New Jersey?

The reality is Brady is a gutless coward, demonstrated by his wishy washy stances on immigration, abortion, and the budget.

Brady is part of the problem, no matter how he wants to paint it, he is a career politician. Note he never outlined his strategy for actually dealing with the budget except to hi-jacked Adam's audit idea. Note, he developed no coattails, for what should be a knock-out election, because he has no leadership skills.

Sure Brady is a step in the right direction, but Brady will not play hard ball with the pensions and public sector benefit buffet.

He is weak, pathetically weak.
Far better than Quinn, but Quinn is a nobody loser. Hell even the flip-flopper Rauschenberger would have been better.

Brady can't touch pensions for another 18 years because the call to redo the Constitution of ILL will not come up till then.. he just says it to get those saps to vote for him... Current pensions are protected..

Another 4 years of Quinn is another 4 years of tax increases....GUARANTEED!!!

I don't think anyone is supporting Quinn, just go into that both realizing Brady is not the be all end all for this state. He is too weak to be effective. All this is about is boosting up his pension since his business has failed and real estate is not a bout to make a come back.

Its time to dump both parties and try something different. Scott Lee Cohen could slip in there just because so many people dislike Brady and Quinn. At least Cohen, being in the business he is in, probably has a better sense of values than anyone else in Springfield. Ironic, huh?

I will vote for Brady not because I like him but it will be a end to the blago era.

The reality is Cohen would be better by large margin than wither Brady or Quinn. There also is a write in candidate from the Constitution party who is top notch: Michael White who I am voting for, and the Libertarian candidate, Lex Green who is also a superior choice to either Brady or Quinn.

Brady is definitely a step in the right direction...the far right direction. His social policies are repugnant. The only consolation is that if he does get elected, he'll be stymied at every turn by Madigan and Cullerton. That is the only positive about Madigan and Cullerton staying in power. Who could have envisioned a scenerio in which the Madigan/Cullerton power structure in Springfield could be a good thing for the state?

Please he is moderate. Weak on social issues. He has flipped flopped on abortion and immigration simply because most people are too stupid to remember not long ago he was pro-choice and pro-amnesty.

@ 10:26 :
Cheers - if there ever was a good place for a Libertarian in government, it's as a state Governor. Libertarians are famous for being fiscally conservative, socially liberal, and defending the Tenth Amendment like nobody's business. Besides, that Brady is just a complete douche.
