Fleecing of Illinois | Democrats Blast Individuals with Massive 67% Income Tax Rate Increase for Indviduals and 46% Corporate Tax Rate Increase

After the Illinois House voted 60-57 (required 60 votes) for a massive income tax rate increase, the Illinois Senate later voted 30-29 as well to make sure Illinois hits a financial iceberg that will cause business to flee and to sink taxpayers with billions more in debt.

For our local viewers, all Illinois State Reps and State Senators in the Aurora/Naperville area voted NO except for State Senator Linda Holmes and State Rep Linda Chapa-LaVia of Aurora.  They voted to dramatically increase your taxes without forcing a change to the business model.

According to sources, Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan threatened several legislators with political consequences if they did not join the tax scheme, partly designed to benefit political mafia princess Lisa Madigan in 4 years.

The tax scheme would suck billions out of taxpayers and do nothing to change the underlying cost of government, including luxury pensions and retiree health benefits.

To pay for this, if you make...

$25,000, your taxes will jump from $750 to $1,250

$50,000, your taxes will jump from $1,500 to $2,500

$100,000, your taxes will jump from $3,000 to $5,000

$200,000, your taxes will jump from $6,000 to $10,000

In the meantime, there is no corresponding 66% decrease in wild spending.

Hey all you stupid voters who put this pond scum in office I hope you are happy now. No jobs and these crooks continue to pick your pockets. Notice they didn't vote to reduce their salaries along with the tax hike on you. I bet all you DEMOCRATS are happy now and thinki that your dead ancestors are proud of you for voting for these useless pieces of crap. I hope all of you who voted DEMOCRATIC have to borrow to pay the additional taxes you now seem so proud to have.

Does anyone know when the tax hikes take effect? Is it for 2010 tax year? Is it for 2011 tax year and beyond. Is is retro to Jan 1, 20111? What is the effective date? Thanks,

Linda is now qualified to be Mayor. Raise taxes, spend more money, fix nothing and ignore the problem, she's perfect.

Hey, this isn't law yet. It still has to be passed thru the Senate. Relax.

It did pass the Senate

I used to consider myself a Democrat but I voted for Bill in this last election.

I now consider myself nothing. All politicians have arterial motives. They are all looking out for themselves.

This is just a temporary tax hike, not a permanent tax hike.
Relax.

Nothing is temporary when it involves taxes.

For all you people without a job: 5 percent of zero is same as 3 percent of zero.

Wasn't there supposed to be some property tax relief tied to the tax rate increase bill?

Indiana and Wisconsin governments just love this tax hike. There will now be more Illinois businesses relocating out of state not to mention more residents moving out of state. The state won't gain any additional money due to the losses. Nice move Quinn.

When Quinn was running for re-election, he said he would veto any tax increase over 1%. Now he has just signed a 2% increase. I guess you supporters fell for that one. Things will continue to get worst until you boneheads stop re-electing these lying 2 party bastards.

Sorry 8:10, it's not just the democrats you need to blame. You also need to blame the republicans for not giving us a better candidate. I'm an independent, don't really trust either party. I didn't really want to vote for Quinn. That shows you what a bad choice Brady was -- he made Quinn look good. The truth is we were going to get a tax hike either way. At least Quinn was honest about it.

This tax increase in the middle of economic chaos and uncertainty is ASSinine and a death wish for the state. Not only is Illinois number one in the Midwest in job killing, and business killing, the worst place in the country to retire, number one in corrupt pay-to-play Chicago style politics but even innocent babies are considered fair game in this state. Child predators cross statelines to transport minor girls to Illinois to dump unborn babies into medical waste containers because this state refuses to implement the parental notification law that was passed back in 1995. So these scumbags can continue commiting statuatory rape but in Illinois that is just great.

If you are stupid enough to believe that this tax increase is "only temporary" when all of the jobs and taxpayers leave, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Quinn, won by a majority in Chicago lets stop the well fare system, and maybe just maybe someone will not live in Cabriny Green )of somewhere like this place) off the tax payers of Illinois for 59 Years .
