Candidate's Religion? Mormon, Catholic, Baptist, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Whatever...Are We Strong Enough to Prevent Bias Toward Anyone?

Personally, the person's religion makes no difference to me. But to answer your question, in general, no, the American people are not strong enough to prevent bias. Way too many decisions are made based on bias, w/o consideration of the actual facts and whether someone is actually the best choice for the office.

I have never as long as I have been alive heard of any Baptist, Jew, Buddist, Morman or any other releigion but the MUSLIM state that if I didn't convert to their religion they had the RIGHT TO CUT OFF MY HEAD. Take it for what its worth. I don't think I want them in office.c

And I've never heard the muslim religion say that, either. Of course, there are fanatics of ALL the religions who would go along with that kind of sentiment.

Looks like OBAMA and PALOSI are backing the protesters who advocate hating Jews. HUH? A Jew hating president is not what this country needs.

1:52 There have been 3100 people killed in 66 Muslim attacks in the USA. How many did the Mormans or Baptist kill?

How many died at Oklahoma City? And how many Mormons were slaughtered by "Christians"?

The 3100 killed you quote INCLUDES MUSLIMS killed in the WTC (and I'm not taking about the a**holes who hijacked the planes). In fact, just about every religion lost members in the WTC. An attack by certain members of a religion does NOT mean that the religion itself carried out the attack. As a matter of fact, these "muslim" terrorists have killed more muslims in the world than they have people from other religions. In EVERY religion you have fanatics who twist select parts of their religion to fit their own personal agenda, and do things which clearly to any objective observer, and to most members of that religion, are against the teachings of that religion. Look at the Westboro Baptist people. There is no way Christ would approve of protesting at a funeral, deliberately inflicting pain on the family of a dead service member over a topic that had nothing to do w/ that individual. Yet they do it in his name.

And did you notice how delicately Kadahfi was handled by the all caring muslim extremist.. No fair trial, no jail time, and no comment from the OBAMA RED HOUSE. Some peaceful religion.

Sure I how saw how Kadahfi was handled -- about how most deposed dictators are handled by those who overthrow them. Regardless of which religion they belong to, or even if there's no religion involved at all. The sensitivity we showed toward bin Ladin's body just shows how the U.S. is different. And the Iraqis would have done the same thing to Saddam if the U.S. hadn't been around. (Of course he ended up dead anyway, lust like Khadaffi & bin Ladin). But there you go missing the entire point again. Yes, a group of muslims, in the process of deposing a dictator and moving toward democracy treated him poorly, so every muslim in the world is responsible for that. Yet when Christians do bad things, you blame the individuals and not every Christian. The term is hypocrisy.

You only have to go back a few years and check out the places in the world where there was conflict and who was involved. For starters Yugoslavia,Kosovo, Russsia,The Philapines, the Horn of Africa,Egypt,Thiland,France,England,Holland,Israel,India,Syria,Iran,Khazakistan, and on and on. The one common link in case you missed it MUSLIMS. Peaceful? I doubt it. I can't wait to see the democracy that develops in Egypt and now Lybia.

While Muslims may have been "involved" in all these cases, there's a real mixed bag here of whether they were involved as the agressor/oppressor or as the victims. Your first 4 examples are all ones where the Muslims were the victims, and any violence on their part was in self defence. In fact, in the Phillipines the U.S. had a big role as the oppressors back at the end of the Spanish-American war. Remember, the war we started to "protect" the Cubans, Phillipinos, etc. from Spanish oppression, only to come in and be just as bad (or even worse) for/to the native populations than the Spaniards ever were?

PEOPLE SEEM TO FORGET IN CERTAIN PARTS OF THE WORLD ISLAM IS NOT ONLY A RELIGIOUS BELIEF, BUT A BASIS OF LAW AS WELL.
TO BE A NON BELIEVER IS AN UNPARDONABLE SIN AND YES SUBJECT TO THEIR VARIATION OF THE DEATH PENALTY. TO BE MUSLIM DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN EMBRACING THE ISLAMIC LAW (THOUGH MANY DO)
AS LONG AS RELIGIONS MAINTAIN THEY SOMEHOW ARE DIFFERENT, AND PORTRAY THEMSELVES AS 'THE TRUE PATH TO SALVATION' THERE WILL BE BIAS
[TO BE CONTINUED]

[continued from previous post]
THOSE WHO JUDGE ON RELIGIOUS BELIEF, ARE THOSE WHO QUESTION 'THE MORAL INTEGRITY' OF ALL OUTSIDE OF THEIR PARTICULAR DENOMINATION.
AN ELECTED PRESIDENT, HAVING DULY SWORN TO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES WOULD BE ABDICATING HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO ACT IN A MANNER BEFITTING FOR THE GOOD OF ALL CITIZENS, BY MAKING DECISIONS BASED ON RELIGIOUS BELIEF ABOVE ALL ELSE

And Now Lybia for sure according to tonights news. Looks like I'm right after all.

FYI Mormonism is CULT.

Anonymous said...

Actually, 8:41, I was at a dinner Saturday night and during the after dinner conversation we discussed that. The secret to not being a cult, is to be part of the group deciding who is a cult. If you really look at Mormonism, there are a lot more similarities than differences between it and all the major religions that have banded together to call Mormonism a cult. Basically, the main definition of a cult is that it's what someone other than yourself believes.

I guess cult is a derrogatory term now. However I have know many Mormans over the last 72 years and they all seemed to be well ballanced mentally and as far as I am concerned morally above most of the US population. So if they are a cult it is evidently a morally high aspiring cult, and one I wouldn't be afraid of. At least I know they will never threaten to cut my head or hand off if I didn't join them.
