The Tragic Crash That Killed Indy 500 Winner Dan Wheldon

I am not sure how tragic it is when man goes out in his prime doing what he loves.

Ever seen a man in a nursing home who use to be a skilled athlete? They live in a yesterday and are stripped of their pride and are tortured by the hollow shell of a body they now have.

Race car drivers live on the edge with their reflexes, when they start to go it is very, very hard psychologically for once top performers.

I just hope he did not suffer.

34 Indy cars on a smaller NASCAR track? Sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

an accident waiting to happen is the definition of car racing to begin with. If you completely eliminated all accidents, attendance would take a major drop.
