Aurora Housing Authority Slumlord Chairman Little Al Schluer Pushes Community to Force Mayor Weisner to Agree to Slum Scheme

In a letter to members of a city task force examining cheap and affordable housing options, Aurora Housing Authority (AHA) Slumlord Chairman Little Al Schuler is pushing them to tell the mayor to support the scheme to rebuild a slum at Jericho Circle despite decades of failure and overwhelming opposition by the community, schools, taxpayers and elected officials.

AHA has continued to push their scheme to enrich themselves, cronies, consultants and contractors at the expense of taxpayers and the community.

Alderman Rick Lawernce says AHA speaks for itself and its own interests, not the city or the best interests of the community.

Weisner's spokesgirl, Carie Ergo, said the mayor opposes the plan to rebuild anything at Jericho Circle.

Several community members say they will demand the city council and mayor make it loud and clear that Jericho Circle must not be rebuilt.

I do not believe Tom is as opposed to this and he declares. He has the power to disassemble the board and has not done it. It's all a show!

I hope it is rebuilt. Then perhaps the scum that has moved into my neighborhood will move back. It can't happen soon enough as far as I am concerned.

The mayor has been all talk and no action. If Jericho Circle is rebuilt, Weisner should resign.

Jericho Circle will be rebuilt.
Tom will not resign.
Aurora quality of life will continue to erode.
Middle Class will continue moving to places which have adequate public schools.
Tom will retire to Fla and name a park after himself.
All the Aurora swells will shake his hand and tell him how great he is. He will believe them.
Things will only continue to deteriorate.

2:52 - yep that is how it is and will be. Sad but true.

I'm still wanting for my first burger from the Billy Goat Tavern in Aurora.
Oh I forgot it's never going to happen.

Wegman Construction was going to rebuild the slum, but then said they would not.

Now, if they continue to be involved, then you know the fix was in the whole time.

They should be banned from any contracts with Aurora.

I'm with 11:16. Two houses full of refugees from Jericho - both destroyed and nothing but problems.

Why does a non profit need tax credits? I'm sure the Whizz will provide them since he doesn't want it built. More OBAMA SPEAK.
