Election 2012 | Race for Kane County Board Chairman Widens

The race for Kane County Board Chairman may have contested primaries for both Republicans and Democrats.

In addition to State Sen. Chris Lauzen and Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns on the Republican side, two Democrats are circulating petitions as well.

Sue Klinkhamer, was mayor of St. Charles  (1997-2005) before taking a job with the City of Chicago and Mayor Daley's regime and then later with former Congressman Bill Foster (D), is seeking the position.

Former Carpentersville Mayor Bill Sarto (2005-2009) also has announced he would run in the Democratic primary.

Karen McConnaughay (R) is leaving the position of Kane County Board Chairman to run for State Senate.

Sue Klinkhamer can only win if she faces Kevin Burns, but my guess is Lauzen will win both the primary and general.

If 1:08's plan comes to pass and Lauzen becomes County Board Chairman, it will prove Murphy's Law. Lauzen will have risen to his level of incompetence.

ANY PERSON WHO USES ANNOMOUSE AS A NAME.

I have worked with both Sue and Chris, and I have to say at this point either of them could handle the job.

I have stated that I worked with both on pension issue's which I believe will be a big issue in the future. having spent over thirty years with Aurora and being elected to the Pension board for 10 years, being elected by my pears to the Benevolent and F0P,
office of vice President it don's not hurt to be the only Officer to return to full duty and go on to retirement after a three year stint on duty related Pension.
