Election 2012 Congress | Joe Walsh Announces He Will Run in 8th Congressional District; No Primary Battle for Randy Hultgren

Joe Walsh will run for re-election in the 8th Congressional District instead of 14th. Democrats includeTammy Duckworth (heavily backed by the Chicago and Illinois political mafia) and Raja Krishnamoorthi (who previously ran for state comptroller).

That means no primary battle between Walsh and Randy Hultgren in the 14th Congressional District, which would have put the two popular freshman congressmen against each other.

The suspense and confusion around who's running for what district is a result of the remap for Congressional Districts, which was done on a purely partisan basis by Illinois Speaker Michael Madigan with input from so-called Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Senate President John Cullerton, Governor Pat Quinn and other political cronies via Washington DC.

I would like to see Randy Hultgren and Joe Walsh both in Congress.

I definitely do NOT want to see Tammy Duckworth.

Hultgren will do. I wish he had a conservative primary challenge though. He is a moderate at best. His record in IL is not a conservative one. In State tuition and Driver's License for illegals, tax increase on shampoo, toothpaste etc...a career politician and Republican Party bootlicker...better than a Democrat

Congressional district maps are ALWAYS done in a purely partisan matter no matter which party is in power.

Has Joe Walsh paid his child support this month?

Vote Joe Walsh out. He is a deadbeat to his family, Their is no greater responsibility a person has than to raise their children properly. He has sidestepped this immediate responsibility. He will evetually sidestep his reponsibility to his contituents and his oath to office. A leopard doesn't change its spots.
