Illinois Courts to Consider Appeal on Admission of Hearsay Evidence in Drew Peterson Case

Time to let him out on electronic monitoring or something while all the appeals are still going on. The prosecutor is using legal delays to incarcerate and punish him -- and that ain't right. If you can't get a conviction, don't use the process to punish him. This could happen to ANY of use. Although I tend to believe he's guilty (of something), prosecutors around here don't have such a great record. Will County let the sherif's deputies wear down Kevin Fox until he confessed to killing his own daughter -- which wasn't true. DuPage County kept trying to execute Hernandez & Cruz even AFTER Dugan confessed to killing the Nicarico girl.

I agree with the above comment. Drew Peterson is innocent UNTIL proven guilty beyond any reasonable doubt.

I am also concerned that in the zest to nail him, prosecutors, courts and legislators are making a big mistake allowing hearsay evidence. That could be easily misused against others in the future.

The electronic home monitoring system should automatically be allowed for these type of situations. He's not been convicted of anything.
