I find it bizarre Illinois has a law that allows video, but doesn't allow audio. Good to see someone like McCarthy have the sense to speak out and say that it needs to be changed.
I am actually impressed with Mr. McCarthy. He combines the street knowledge with good common sense. Most Police Chiefs would probably be against such a change in the law because they would want to give maximum protection to their guys. It's nice to see old out-dated laws designed to protect the priveliged go away.

Where's Aurora Police Chief Greg Thomas on this?
