Thanks to high gas prices and the Illinois Tollway's recent decision to skyrocket tolls, if you attempt to drive, you will get smacked with more expense.
But, if you thought you could save money by taking the train from Aurora / Naperville to Chicago, you are about to get smacked again due to massive fare increases.
On the bright side, if you float to Chicago in a hot air balloon, we are not aware of any agency that will charge you for the ride.
Just don't get anyone to meet you in downtown Chicago and expect to park...thanks to former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's parking meter fiasco, you will get smacked again.
Note: Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner sits on the Illinois Tollway Authority Board and voted in favor of the toll increase.
