Aurora Alderman Stephanie Kifowit, the "party girl" who spent taxpayer funds to attend parties and events as she covertly was planning to run for the newly created position of 84th District State Representative, is running into big problems as a candidate despite making deals with the Chicago Political Mafia's Michael and Lisa Madigan to help rig local elections to try and install her as Madigan crony in Springfield.
Democrats in Aurora have made it clear they don't appreciate the Chicago Political Mafia's manipulation of what happens in Aurora and the two other candidates, Carole Cheney and Alex Arroyo, are both gaining support by openly declaring they are not the "Madigan" candidate.
On the GOP side, Pat Fee is running unopposed in the primary.
Kifowit and the Chicago Political Mafia recently politically murdered another candidate, Ken Maurice, an honest and decent man who works for the City of Aurora, to knock him off the ballot, hoping he would not have the funds and legal firepower to fight back against the Chicago Political Mafia.
But, the biggest problem facing Stephanie Kifowit is actually Stephanie Kifowit.
When it comes to city contracts for Aurora, Kifowit has said many times that "local businesses" should get preferential treatment.
During her previous failure at running for mayor and finishing dead-last, she repeatedly blasted Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner for awarding contracts to "out of town" firms and companies while there are businesses "right here" that could do the same job.
However, an investigation into Kifowit's own campaign reveals that she doesn't practice what she preaches.
From using Chicago Political Mafia consultants and cronies to sending printing business to firms as far as Coal City and even buying office supplies in Montgomery, doing business in Aurora is not her preferred option.
In fact, only 13% of Stephanie Kifowit's most recent campaign report of itemized expenses were for anything in Aurora and even that was just for fees to attend parties and events.
A prominent Democrat told us the reason Kifowit sends her printing business way over to Coal City is because that is where the Madigan crew tells her to send it.
So, is that how it would work if, tragically, somehow Kifowit were elected?
She would represent the Chicago Political Mafia and do what they tell her to do instead of putting the local area and taxpayers first?
YES.
That's because Stephanie Kifowit is available to the highest bidder, stands for nothing other than her political and personal ambitions.
Aurora does not need hypocrites or representatives of the Chicago Political Mafia being elected.
We encourage Kifowit to move to somewhere she may be more likely to get away with fooling the public.
How about Coal City where all her printing is done?

Ken Maurice IS an honest and decent man. BUT OVER HALF HIS SIGNATURES WERE INVALID!!!! I mean, 10%, maybe even 20%, okay. But over half???? Ken Maurice has no one but but himself to blame for being off the ballot. As far as Kifowit patronizing Aurora businesses, the new district isn't just Aurora. I assume Coal City is too far south, but aren't parts of Montgomery in this new district? How about an analysis of expenses based on DISTRICT. As far as hypocrisy, I guess I'll have to defer to your judgement on that, Openline, since being hypocritical is your specialty.
What about the $8,526.00 dollars she spent on a Springfield printer? I guess no one in Aurora could print to her standards. She's all about helping local businesses, so she says. Then again most of her money comes from special interest outside of Aurora/Naperville. Just another typical politician that has destroyed Illinois.

Kifowit is definitely a hypocrite on this and many other issues. She obviously has traded her soul to the Madigan's in her desperation to get her dream job so she buy her dream house.
Madigans trying to rig our local elections is unacceptable. I not only hope Kifowit doesn't win, but I pray she finishes last.
Kifowit lectures everyone else about how "local" business is important but then does this. She deserves to finish dead-last place again.
Kifowit is just another politician as usual, who is only interested in herself.
One of Kifowit's contributors appears to be a money laundering operation for political cronies called "MEIKUM SUPPLY" which magically makes a ton of money in "wholesale detergents."
The company, which has no website, gave Kiffy $2,000, a few months ago.

The only persons on the city Council, in the County, or the State who are not controlled that I know of are Lawrence, Lauzen, Oberweis and Cunningham.

OpenlineBlog very consistent about holding public officials accountable from both parties. I'm thankful for their reporting, but this story is exactly why Openline is great. They reported on Kifowit's hypocrisy, then others have added to the story by sharing more details.
That stuff on Meikem Supply, the "wholesale detergent" company that is dumping dirty money into campaigns, is very interesting.
Aurora has been trying to be second to none for years when it comes to corruption, so in defense of Kiffy, maybe she's just trying to outdo Weezner.

I saw that in the Herald as well. The "Party Girl" doesn't seem to be doing too badly so far...

Let's be clear, of the three liberal Democrats running the Herald chose Kifowit. The did not endorse her for the general they endorsed her as the best Democratic candidate. They also noted that none of the Democrats would vote against extending the Quinn tax hike (i.e. they are all tax and spend liberals) nor would they do anything of merit to fix the pension system as they are all backed by unions.
Endorsements mean nothing. Seriously, when was the last time any of you actually voted for someone because some newspaper endorsed that candidate? If you are that stupid to rely on an old media newspaper, then do us a favor and stay home instead of voting.
Here in Aurora, we know a lot about Kifowit. She's a failure as an alderman, wastes our money and is a political crony.
Alex Arroyo seems like a good guy and I don't know much about Carole Cheney, but am trying to see where they stand. Pat Fee on the GOP is a sharp lady and has widespread support, so whoever faces her is going to have an uphill climb.
