Stephanie Kifowit, the wild spending party girl alderman from Aurora, who ran one of the most sleazy and offensive political campaigns in Illinois history during the Democratic primary for 84th District State Rep (a district she doesn't even live in), has an interesting problem this Tuesday for the Aurora City Council meeting.
Illinois Political Mafia Kingpins Michael and Lisa Madigan have told Kifowit she must vote against the $30 million tax increase for the Aurora Public Library's scheme to fund corruption and cronies.
It's not that the Madigans are suddenly against corruption, but they are concerned it will put them at a disadvantage when running the general campaign against GOP candidate Pat Fee for State Rep.
"Madigans realize much of Aurora already knows Kifowit is a wild spender, but they are deeply concerned about those sections of Aurora such as DuPage and Will Counties and portions of Naperville where you tend to have people less familiar with her and more concerned about higher taxes. They want to falsely portray Kifowit as a fiscal conservative to them, but if she votes for this tax increase, she makes that difficult" said a political operative from Springfield.
Meanwhile, Kifowit in her attempt to gain support for political ambitions, has been kissing up to the mayor, his cronies, union and others who stand to financially benefit from the $30 million tax increase scheme to build a dysfunctional library of the past. She had promised to support the scheme.
So, now what will she do?
Obey the Madigans, who are supporting her only on the condition that she serves their interests, not the constituents?
Or keep her promise to support the corruption of Aurora?
Either way, she's going to annoy powerful forces.
"don't be surprised if Kifowit is conveniently absent from the meeting. She's in a lose-lose situation if she shows up" said the Springfield operative.
