Public Employee Unions Sue to Block Voter-Approved Pension Cuts

As the Illinois Political Mafia, led by Michael and Lisa Madigan, continue to evade dealing head-on with the worst pension crisis in America, two recent votes in California indicate taxpayers, when given a choice between the status-quo or bold change, are no longer willing to tolerate the pension ponzi scheme model.

In landslide results, voters in San Jose and San Diego, two of California's and America's largest cities, approved pension and benefit cuts, including current and past employees.

Public unions have sued to block the changes.

Unions are the scourge of the middle class, a pestilence that should be eradicated like small pox.

The unions sold out the working man when they embraced illegal aliens and open borders.

Prove that that ever happened....

Exactly... You can't.

9:53, it wasn't the unions who embraced illegal aliens and open borders. It was the business owners. It's not the union shops that hire the illegals -- the reason they hire illegals is so they can pay them poverty wages and screw the employees over whenever they get the chance. The very things unions keep them from doing. After all, if you're a union shop, and going to be paying union wages, why bother risking fines, etc. hiring illegals? Duh.

Unions may have some problems, but don't go blaming them for every problem this country have.

BTW I'm NOT a union member.

I'm guessing the real sellout came from the business owners who took advantage of cheap labor, and now that the cheap labor has become a burden on our system, tries to blame the evil unions. Nice try.

Ever heard of the SEIU? They are even against Homeland Security requiring ID at airports.

Here is a link for another example.

Search on unions and illegal aliens and you will find example after example.

You might try posting an example from a more credible source than a FAR right wing extremist group who tries to stir up trouble and pushes fear mongering and discredited conspiracy theories.

Familysecuritymatters....really? There goes credibility.

Any time you go to a website for information, you need to research the website itself. You can't rely on the name -- anybody can register any domain name they want. Or form a "non-profit" organization with any name they want. Like "Americans for Prosperity" is a front group for the Koch brothers -- who are already plenty prosperous. The purpose of this group is to make the Kochs and their buddies more prosperous, and the rest of us less prosperous. Another great example is the "Americans Against Food Taxes", that fights communities that want to put additional taxes on high-sugar beverages that contribute to obesity. Of course this group doesn't tell you up front it's funding source is the American Beverage Association. There are too many examples to list them all. The key is to make sure you check out ANY group before you believe what they say.

The illegals wouldn't be coming here if there weren't jobs. It isn't the unions, it's the owners - most of whom no doubt vote Republican. The unions, on the other hand, are responsible for the 40-hour work week, vacations and other benefits. There is no small coincidence in the fact that all of the benefits enjoyed by US workers and those jobs themselves have waned since the anti-union, anti-American worker right wingers gained power.
