That's because he's an old senile demonrat. If it was a conservative they'd complain he was a racist. Two sided hypocritical behavior is what we've come to expect from them...

You can ALWAYS depend on good old JOE for intelligent statements like this.

The Democrats have had the minorities in chains ever since LBJ or before. He knows a lot about keeping people in chains. Economic chains, social chains, political chains, moral chains, educational chains. Its this last one, public education, or lack of it that is the main problem. And the people are too dumb to realize it.It's the Democratic Socialist way.

7:12 And if a REPUBLICAN had said this you wouldn't have even commented on it. You're only commenting because it's a democrat. Sounds like "Two sided hypocritical behavior" to me. Basically, to a fair minded individual of EITHER party (if you can find one) this is another case of much ado about nothing. Innocuous comments are being taken out of context just to stir things up. There's way too much of that FROM BOTH SIDES.

Capitol Fax Reported:
* State Senate Republican candidate Jim Oberweis is accused of using a handicapped parking space when he plays golf at his country club…

“I was recently told by a Republican business leader who sought me out that Jim Oberweis has handicapped plates on his car,” Pierog said. “He plays golf five or six times a week at the Aurora Country Club.”

Serious charges. It didn’t take much effort to find corroboration.

“I’ve seen him — he parks in all the handicapped spots,” said a member of the Aurora Country Club, who didn’t want his name used. “He says he has a bad back, but he plays golf all the time. I find it offensive.”

Of course, there could be valid explanation — maybe he can swing a club but not walk a block. Maybe they’re his wife’s plates. Hoping to find out, I phoned the Oberweis campaign, repeatedly over two days. No reply. Though I can’t imagine why. I’m a fair fellow — true, I have lingering resentment against Oberweis for demonizing immigrants in his bald but failed attempts to achieve public office. But that was years ago. Perhaps he’s reformed.

First, handicapped plates/placards are only valid when the specific handicapped person is present. Although you may get away w/ using the space when they're not around, it's not legal.

Second, handicapped plates/placards get handed out way too easily.

Third, I'm an athletic trainer at a high school, and we had a kid who had a legitimate condition that he got a placard for. But he got better, and was actually back to practices and I found out he was still using the handicapped space (when he didn't need it any more). I told him I was sorry, but that knowing his character I KNEW he'd never use a handicapped space if he didn't really need it, so he obviously wasn't ready to play in that week's game.

He brought me the placard the next morning.

7:12 Your type of "fair mindedness" is exactly what has this country sinking into ruin more and more. Just ask the school teachers in Ariz how fair minded the Illegal children they try to teach are. It is all caused by your type of fair mindedness....not taking a moral stand.

Good job, 7:50. Go for distraction and changing the topic. "Fair mindedness" and "not taking a moral stand" are completely different things. I am fair minded, AND I do take moral stands. Of course, I think about the stands I take and don't just blindly follow someone else, which apparently you do.

I know the Republican Party is going to run a real nasty Campaign, they usually do. I would hope the Democratic Strategists, i.e. Axelrod and Obama, and the Clintons, would wisely avoid getting down in the mud with Willard and the Boys. Obama is best when he takes the high road and is overly respectful and diplomatic. One way to seperate yourself from your opponent is to be nice and polite.

Providing a valid birth certificate, revealed school grades, and other sequestered information would put him on the road out of Washington for good!!!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, why doesn't Romney produce his birth certificate, grades, and sequestered information (like the tax returns that Obama already provided)?

Anonymous said...

Not Forgeries like the demonrats provided and proved to be forgeries...

Anonymous said...

No independent, unbiased source has called any of Obama's documents forgeries. The only people who have called them forgeries decided they were forgeries before they ever saw them, held on to them for a while and "examined" them, then announced they were forgeries. No credibility to that announcement. On the other hand, the officials in Hawaii responsible for these things have announced Obama clearly WAS born in Hawaii. Even Bill O'Reilly (who is actually biased AGAINST Obama) agrees this birther crap is nonsense.

Wow,I didn't realize how many sick communist actually populate this website!

You obviously have no clue what a "communist" actually is, and are just using the word because it's the right-winger's word of choice for someone who doesn't drink the right-winger kool aid and actually dares to disagree with you. NONE of the comments above come even remotely close to communism. Your idol Joe McCarthy probably wouldn't even be able to find communism here.

I would like to take this opportunity to call for a violent overthrow of the United States Government......Not only am I a drunkard but I also am a die-hard anarchist who believes that nothing can be accomplished under the democratic process. Thank you Openline for allowing me to express my opinion.

I used to be in an anarchist group but we ended up breaking up the group when we couldn't decide what we wanted to do.
