Political Mafia Candidate Stephanie Kifowit Can't Explain Position on Biggest Tax Increase in Illinois History

Stephanie Kifowit, the party girl alderman from Aurora and the political mafia's stooge candidate running for the 84th District State Rep race (a district she doesn't even live in), has a well-earned reputation for not being able to answer simple questions on her positions on important issues.

In the video above, she was asked about her position on the largest tax increase in Illinois history, pushed through by Gov. Pat Quinn with the blessing of political mafia boss Michael Madigan.

She first looks like she wants to strike at the person asking the question and then trying to figure out how to escape, but at no time answering the question.

Kifowit can't answer such questions.  She needs to first ask Michael Madigan what to say.

Meanwhile, Pat Fee from Aurora, who is running for the same State Rep seat and actually lives in the district, was very clear.  She says she opposed the massive tax increase and will work to reduce, not increase taxes.

Maybe Kifowit should stick to being an incompetent alderman, where most of the city council evades questions all the time.

***UPDATE:  Kifowit was so upset at a taxpayer asking about taxes, she called the police!

That women with the dark hair who stopped Kifowit and telling her what to do is from Mike Madigan's office.

8:25 is correct that is a Madigan staffer. If Kifowit is elected she will simply be yet another Madigan pawn.

People have been saying for years Kifowit is rude and a jerk to the the public and anyone who tries to ask her a simple question. Wow, they were absolutely correct!

that is classic Kifowit. First, she's excited she's the center of attention and someone wants to film her and then she gets pissed off when she doesn't get her way. The fact she tried to call the police just further proves that the video talking about her narcissist behavior is dead-on accurate.

Madigan should dump this loser before it backfires further on him.

Kifowit is a political amateur and coward.

I'll definitely be voting for Pat Fee.

I'm a Democrat and won't forget how Stephanie Kifowit trashed Carole Cheney, Alex Arroyo and Ken Maurice for her political ambition. She's sold her soul to Madigan and now supports corruption in Aurora, too.

We need her in Springfield as much as we need West Nile virus.

That's certainly strange behavior from someone who is ostensibly seeking public support for an election. Also, I'd suspect any candidate would be up to speed on all current issues - especially the ones that impact OUR MONEY. I pray that "the press" keeps the pressure on candidate Kifowit - and all the others seeking office. They need to ask the hard questions and demand answers -real answers.

It would be nice to see an unedited version of the encounter. This was too short of a video clip to be all there was. What was said before this, and how was it said? What was said after? What else was going on, that got interrupted by this set up scenario? Maybe if we'd seen and heard the entire encounter, she wouldn't come off so bad, or maybe she'd come off worse. But we'll never know, will we?

when a candidate or elected official squirms like this with direct simple questions, just imagine what they do behind-the-scenes with YOUR money.

Squirm? What squirm. This video was all of 5 seconds.

I like the choice of music. What's next? Superimposing Darth Vader over her face? A voice over with the wicked witch of the west? A claim that she summoned the flying monkeys from the attic? How can you be taken seriously?

This is in front of her house. So, lemme get this straight---it's ok for her to go door to door to other people's homes and bother them with her fake agendas but it isn't ok for her to be bothered at HER home?

I'm glad we got that straight.

Bothered by a real behemoth of journalistic integrity that is not worth a dirty snot rag.

It doesn't matter WHO it is asking her questions. She could have politely declined to answer the question instead of being nasty.

I love she's standing in the street and tells the reporter this is a private area.

Amy Roth, who works for the library, says Kifowit's behavior is perfectly fine.

Amy Roth, also thinks it's okay for taxpayers to pay for incompetent, unethical, corrupt and rude people as public officials.

when I saw the video this afternoon, it had already 1500 views.

now it has over 7000 and growing.

looks like a lot of people are paying attention to this blog.

It is also posted at Illinois Review.

Nice try claiming credit for views from other sites. Also, the numbers are deceiving. There are probably a lot of people like me who watched it a couple of times trying to figure out what was really going on, and what the big deal was. By the time Openline got done w/ the editing, the music & words and build up were longer than the clip. Much ado about nothing.

Both parties share the blame for the state's fiscal condition.

Jim Thompson (Republican) left office with the state in a fiscal shambles. Big Jim never saw a deal he did not want to make.

Jim Edgar (Republican) stepped up and restored the state's fiscal health.

He was fallowed by George Ryan (Republican) who quickly returned to the Thompson way and plunged Illinois into serious debt.

Blago (Democrat) continued Ryan's reckless ways.

Republicans prefer to ignore the roles that Thompson and Ryan played in this fiscal mess. It was the governor who proposed budgets that failed to make the required contribution to state workers pensions.

The recent income tax increase was a bipartisan effort. Both republican and democratic legislative leaders voted for the increase. Unfortunately, political campaigns bring out hypocrisy on both sides

I live in her ward and she is useless. She talks down to people that rely on her to do the work she is supposed to be doing. Worthless

so much for Kifotwit's "leadership that listens" slogan she used a couple years ago.

Kifowit is a jerk and I've seen her screaming profanity at elderly people.

She's a coward.

Does every candidate need to treat every probing pack of questioners with phony respect? Don't we want a little more reality in our candidates?

the video has definitely gone viral.

Madigan made a big mistake backing her.

I wonder if the Madigans know about the many stories over the years of Kifowit's "relationships" with others. I'm not saying it's true and I'm not saying it not true, but here's what someone else wrote
