Michael Madigan (aka "Sugar Daddy") has dumped almost a million dollars into sleazy, dishonest party girl alderman candidate, Stephanie Kifowit, for state rep.
Kifowit has been lying to anyone and everyone, saying whatever she thinks will fool anyone into supporting her, voting for or giving her money.
One of her latest victims is the Sierra Club...you know, the organization that is supposedly supporting eco-friendly policies and practices for the environment.
After claiming that people who "drive big SUV's are bad for the environment" turns out that's what Kifowit got for herself.
Maybe she needs a lot more room in her vehicle for her various recreational activities she's famous for, but what she drives isn't as important as the fact she's a hypocrite.
Tell Kifowit to return the thousands she took from the Sierra Club so they can give it to someone else.
Consistent with Kifowit's self-inflated ego, she even got vanity plates.

Good old Openline is suppressing the voice of the people again! It's an old story; when the trend of the comments goes against Openline's bias because so many people are trying to tell the truth, he shuts down comments on that post. Of course that means any comments supporting him also get shut down. Look -- the post on him endorsing Fee had lots of comments -- all gone now. The post naming the so called "Madigoons", comments not allowed. The post on Kifowit living outside the district she's running in, no comments. The post on Biggert living outside the district she's running in -- oh, that's right, there's no post on that because Openline favors Biggert.
And now COWARDLY OPENLINE has removed AND disabled comments from its more recent anti-Kifowit post.

I have been reading openline for some time and I have to say there are quite a few of you people that are just down right rude and truly unpleasant people. I understand that your views may be different than Stephanies but to talk so poorly about someone is just wrong. Then to top it all off you talk about her husband shame on you. The fact of the matter is this she is running for a political office she is not asking your opinion of her car or her marriage or her family or friends. I wish you would take the time to think about how you would feel if someone talked so poorly about your mother, sister, or friend.

There are so many rude and unpleasant people here because OPENLINE is rude and unpleasant and attracts those people. You'll notice that the rude and unpleasant posts don't get deleted. The ones that get deleted are the reasonable ones that tell the truths that Openline is trying to hide.
Well, here we go again. Openline posting another hit piece against Kifowit that he obviously knows is false. How can we tell? He doesn't allow comments on it. Openline is a coward and can't handle the truth, and being called on it. Instead, I'll post my comment on the "endorsement" from carefully selected aldermen here. So who do we have in this contrived piece? Alderman Rick Mervine, Alderman Alan Lewandowski, Alderman Rick Lawrence, Alderman Juany Garza and former Alderman Chris Beykirch. We already knew Rick "Illegal Entry" Lawrence was against Kifowit, because Openline takes his marching orders from Rick. Bit of a last Hurrah from Rick, since he'll be off the council after the next election. As Openline frequently points out, Garza the "Christmas Killer"'s opinion doesn't count. Mervine and Lewandowski both have minimal time on the Council, and were hand-picked by Weisner, who, according to Openline, is the next to be indicted by the Feds. And then Beykirch, who sold his soul when he abandoned his constitutents and quit his aldermanic seat for a city paycheck. I also love the "Kifowit could not be reached for comment". Openline probably didn't even try, and if they did why would Kifowit bother responding to this rag? You'd only misquote her and twist her words, anyway.
I'm sure this comment will be deleted, as Openline has been VERY busy deleting and shutting down comments lately. That's because there are so many people watching Openline and making sure the truth comes out. And Openline can't handle the truth.
There are reports that the Kifowit campaign has spent $900,000 so far. That's almost one million dollars......for a one seat in the State House????? If true, that would be the most obscence, disgusting thing that I have ever heard regarding politics. Is one seat in the State really worth almost one million dollars? Who is really paying for this? Where is Madigan getting this kind of money for a two-bit seat in the State House? How many homeless could be fed and housed for just half that money. That kind of money isn't creating any jobs except for maybe radio and TV workers. Ms. Kifowit do you not have any shame? Do you not have any sense of what's right and what's wrong?
Al, you have a very good point BUT you're talking pennies here compared to the truly obscene amounts spent on national races. Personally I think we should have mandatory public financing for elections. Everyone gets the same amount. Require the networks to provide a set amount of time for each candidate. Private financing (i.e. buying a candidate) should be illegal. Citizens United was one of the worst decisions ever.
I would be for some sort of limit on camppaign spending. There's just no f'n reason why close to one million dollars is spent on a State Rep. position.There is no great grass roots cause eminating from the people of the district. It's just piggish overspeding just so Boss Madigan can keep his dirty, filthy hands on the taxpayer's money. Al this is 5:19. While limits on campaign spending are really essential to preserve our democracy, thanks to the right wing component of the Supreme Court they've been declared unconstitutional. Keeping someone like the Koch brothers, Madigan, UAW, or anyone else from buying politicians and elections is limiting free speech according to them. Of course, the free speech of the non-rich taxpayers like you and me, the vast majority of which WANT limits on campaign financing and spending, doesn't matter.

This is Stephanie's husbands truck. The truck he drives back and forth to work on his 1.5 hr (one way) commute each day. Meanwhile, Stephanie is driving around in an SUV (a Ford Escape). Stephanie and her husband can say they are environmentalists all day long, but their vehicles speak for themselves.
I know the Kifowit family, and can tell you that the entire family walks or bikes whenever they can. Stephanie has walked many, many miles around her neighborhood & the larger community as she has campaigned. And her husband's long commute is hardly to be criticized, since he has to get to his job and the family has to live in the third ward of Aurora for Stephanie to be our alderman.
And what about Pat Fee? I've seen pictures of her unloading signs from her car, and it is absolutely NOT a gas-sipping, "green" vehicle.

The Ford Escape is not a big SUV, it's a small cross-over vehicle. I have a Ford Freestyle, which is also a crossover, bigger than the Escape. I average 24 mpg. Escapes do better. In fact, there are hybrid versions of the Escape that get in the 30s.

looks like all the lying is catching up with Kifowit as she has been videotaped stealing Pat Fee's signs as well as barging into a polling place to campaign this morning. Then amazingly, all of Pat Fee's stolen signs were found in a City of Aurora Vehicle...what a dirty dirty person!

She is a hypocrite in every way. She has been desperately searching for a job for YEARS with no luck--yet she claims to know how to create jobs in Illinois. She has no money in retirement or savings. Yet claims to know how to balance IL's budget. She claims to have "separate finances" from her husband. That's b/c she uses him to pay the mortgage, all the bills, insurance, cell phone bills, groceries, gas and credit cards. Meanwhile she pays for one credit card and thinks they have a nice division of finances. She is delusional.
She is ugly inside and out. Her marriage IS shot, but not due to her infidelity. She is too self absorbed to care about her husband or kids.
3:54, I am a personal friend of CONGRESSWOMAN Stephanie Kifowit (love how that sounds)--and I can tell you that she is an outstanding mother to her kids! She is always one of the first to volunteer and participate in school activities, and encourages her daughter & son to pursue their interests in Scouts, music, drama, and sports. I have raised kids myself, and know how challenging it is in today's environment and economy. Plus, Stephanie and Steve Kifowit have a great relationship! They are partners on so many levels: financially, romantically, emotionally, and as parents.
And now Stephanie brings her stellar personal and professional qualities to the Illinois state house, to work on our behalf. Too bad, Openline--your sleazy smear campaign didn't work this time!
