Republican-Democrat Pension Fix Coming Soon for Illinois?
Illinois House Republican Leader Tom Cross and Democrat Elaine Nekritz have introduced a new plan to address the pension crisis.
Some say it's not far enough and others, including political mafia leaders Michael Madigan, Lisa Madigan and John Cullerton want other ideas that will go nowhere, but extend the crisis.
And, of course, unions are against any plan or solution.

Openline you are a joke. The unions are the only ones that have submitted any compromise that is constitutional HB 3162 and SB 2404
But of course that is reality and you wouldn't dare print the truth.

Ho hum!
The real joke is anybody expecting the pension situation to be fixed by the very people who created the whole problem. The employees have been paying their share the whole time -- they didn't have a choice! It's the legislature who hasn't been paying their share for decades. And of course their ideas for fixing the problem all involve someone else paying the legislature's share. I say step 1: Eliminate all legislator pensions.
Humm as a legislator you pass a law to reduce what you owe and were entrusted to fund years ago but decided not to so you could get re-elected. Nice...while I paid my fair share for 28yr.s dealing with those you and your costituants feared roaming our streets and now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I get a reduced pension so you look like the savior and hero...nice.
