Were all those city staff and police that were at the propaganda speech at this event being PAID by taxpayers at the same time or do their luxury salaries get docked for showing up for the event to please the corrupt mayor?

All the common folk have gathered and lined up to kiss the ring of the Godfather.

The most boring speech I ever heard

When is cancer going to take that asshole out.

interesting that it is first mention of the state attorney in a city address. Weisner is kissing the State Attorney's ass in order to keep his corruption a secret. Isn't his son's domestic violence case pending?

Does anybody know what happens to the balance of campaign funds after the election ?

I hear that the mayor is going to "pull a Palen" after the election.

10:09 - he won't I think he needs two more years on the Toll Authority to lock that into his pension.

Weisner is an ASS and anyone who backs him is a moron.

Why can't we get a good man to run against him???

I guess I will have to myself in 4 years if this city and state still exists.

9:55 - you need:

1) Name recognition
2) Money
3) A message you can boil down to 3 one syllable words
4) Know how
5) A non-retarded voter base

given this is Aurora you already lose at least one of the five.

Just cause his name is the only one on the ballot, don't mean you have to vote for him. What a blow to the bearded leaders over blown ego if thousands of ballots come back with no preference for mayor.

1. His city pension is separate from his state pension. He could easily pull a Palin on his city pension and let his state pension accrue.
2. We have been hoping that almost no one votes for Weisner during the "election", if only because it would be incredibly entertaining if he got almost no votes. And it would, and will, make a huge statement.
