Sen. Rand Paul, who has risen to national prominence after his recent filibuster to demand the Obama administration address their position on killing Americans anywhere without due process, speaks on the future of the GOP and liberty at CPAC 2013.

Good job Openline. I hadn't made the connection. THAT's the real reason for the filibuster. It was pure political theater to promote Rand Paul!
Rand Paul is a professional bullshit artist. He'll never be confused with a sincere public servant like say the late Paul Simon. He is an idealouge just like his father. He kinda reminds me of John Edwards who's claim to fame was to bullshit a jury into thinking that cigarette smokers aren't responsible for their smoking related health issues. Paul's game is to generate as much free publicity for himself so that he can position himself before the next Presidential primaries.
Oh, you mean the question that was answered by the Justice Department fairly early on, and Paul kept going on w/ his filibuster demanding the answer -- that he had already been given? That proved his filibuster was about HIM, not about any questions.

If Rand Paul is the future of the Republican Party, the party is doomed.

I don't know if I agree with Rand Paul on all issues, but I totally agreed on his filibuster and forcing Obama to answer the question.
