It's hard to keep up with the latest twists and turns of the soap opera, also known as East Aurora School District 131, the board and administration, but we turn it over to our viewers to explain what's going on, why, what and when...insert your own report or observation (try and keep it civil please for the sake of the kids).

The EA Board is transparent and plays their debates out in public.

While on the West Side taxpayers face a referendum and a broke school district. Only 4 million in the bank a board that covers up a popular teachers sexual attack on students. Multiple lawsuits filed the West Aurora board has credit cards and goes on many trips.FOIA Rydland

"try and keep it civil" -- If we did that, this post wouldn't belong on Openline. There has NEVER been a post on Openline that stayed civil.

Tax bills are on the way. East Aurora school tax rates are up 21%. The rate is jumping to $5.96 per hundred assessed from last year's rate of $4.91 per hundred. In addition Aurora city rates are up 13%

Looking at West list of bills you don't see where thier administration is going to Ballydoles, The Billy Goar and golf clubs for retreats. They have Pro Cards and you can see what was spent of the list of bills. While they are still under investagation they have not been found guilty by a court.

The Beacon is chummy with Mike Chapin and Rydland, so nothing will ever be covered about Disrict 129's problems. Thanks Beacon for nothing! A

Except for that time that the Beacon called them out for not reporting the band director's sexual abuses.

T%he Beacon had no choice. The the state had investigated the issue, determined that there had been a violation of the law and referred it to the Kane County State's Attorney for prosecution. The State's Attorney has not taken any action and the Beacon is silent. At the same time, the taxpayers of West Aurora are paying attorney fees of the administrators involved in the failure to report.

Look at your West Aurora tax rate when the bills come out They are going up 13%

The Beacon knew about the Orland cover-up 8 months prior to CBS getting involved. It was only when CBS got involved did the Beacon pick up the story. There are huge problems in Dist. 129! These problems eclipse the problems of Dist. 131.

Now Nestor Garcia is bidding on the position of Athletic Director for East High?! I mean really if he was put on admin. leave not too long ago for the maintenance budget fiasco (Janco scandal) not to mention his liaison with a student at the high school while he was a teacher and a coach(or did we all forget that?). How does this important information not relevant to the position he is bidding on and how does it escape the board's watchful eyes and ears...
