Aurora's Big Brother Scheme Exposed
An I-Team Investigation by ABC7Chicago and Chuck Goudie has exposed Aurora's Big Brother scheme intended to tap into private security cameras across the city at any time.
This is the same City of Aurora that refuses to implement body cams for police, refuses to broadcast video of city council meetings and brought you red light cameras from corrupt vendor Redflex.
Do you trust corrupt Mayor Tom Weisner, corrupt cop Kristen Ziman or so-called corporation counsel Alayne Weingartz to check in on your private cameras at any moment they want?
If so, you are incredibly stupid.
We urge every resident and business to reject any attempt by the City of Aurora to gain access to private cameras.
As always, for any specific situation where video may help solve a crime, you can make a COPY of any video and provide it to law enforcement at your sole terms, discretion and option.
DO NOT AGREE TO ALLOW THE CITY OF AURORA ACCESS TO YOUR CAMERAS.
"Without this video, we had absolutely nothing," said Detective Kevin Jenkins, validating the Aurora Police Department's approach to crime under corrupt cop Kristen Ziman is to wait for crime to happen and hope citizens can solve it.
Aurora plans to roll out a "registry program" to track and access cameras across the city.
"It's all volunteer and we are not going to have remote access unless they want us to," pleaded Detective Matt Thomas of the Aurora Police Department.
Then why have a registry?
"What is the process for accessing the video? Who decides what is, if I refuse, are you going to try and get a court order? You know, what is the process for doing that if I tell you I have this system," said Ed Yohnka, ACLU of Illinois.
In fact, as we have seen with the current battle between Apple and the FBI, law enforcement already forces companies and individuals to turn over data and information on devices that are accessible and now is requiring Apple to create ways to hack into devices.
We urge everyone to REJECT any attempt by the City of Aurora to collect any information for any registry.
YOU should have exclusive control over any video and choose to share what you want ONLY when you want.
And, what should Aurora, the most corrupt city in America, focus on?
Kristen Ziman should focus on body and dash cams, Tom Weisner should stop blocking video for city council meetings and Alayne Weingartz should get on a ladder and start unplugging the red light camera scheme across the city.
